FaceCam

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 26, 2026

FaceCam respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information is used when you use FaceCam, a macOS app that shows your face as a floating overlay while you record videos with a screen recording app. FaceCam does not require an account.

1. Camera Use

FaceCam accesses your Mac's camera to display the live face overlay on your screen, so it can appear in the video you record with your screen recording app. The camera feed is shown locally on your Mac for that overlay.

2. Data Stored on Your Mac

FaceCam does not require an account, and your recordings are captured by your screen recording app, not by FaceCam. FaceCam stores only its own settings on your Mac, such as the bubble shape, size, zoom, and mirror settings.

3. Support Communications

If you contact us by email, we will receive your email address and the contents of your message. We use that information only to read and respond to your support request.

4. Children's Privacy

FaceCam is intended for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. A parent or guardian with questions about a child's use of the app may contact us.

5. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are made, we will post the updated policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date above. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
