Why I built this

I've always loved Japan. I've traveled there many times, and having real conversations with locals was always my dream.

When I decided to seriously learn Japanese, I tried many tools. I used Duolingo and Rosetta Stone, but they felt too gamified and didn't explain enough grammar. I studied from traditional textbooks like Minna no Nihongo, which were excellent but lacked an interactive, modern digital format. I found myself constantly relying on a jisho (辞書) dictionary to look up words, and I wanted one app that wove vocabulary and grammar together naturally — a clear path to properly master 日本語 (Japanese) and prepare for the JLPT N5 without feeling lost in a sea of memorization.

Japanese Grammar Rules is the tool I wish I had: a clear, logical, and audio-rich path to true Japanese comprehension.
