ReadingClock
Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 20, 2026
ReadingClock respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use ReadingClock, an iOS app designed to help readers of all ages track reading sessions, log pages, build streaks, and cultivate a consistent daily reading habit.
1. Information We Collect
ReadingClock does not require an account, email registration, or login. We do not collect, store, or process any personal information or account credentials on our servers.
All data related to your reading sessions, daily and weekly goals, streaks, milestones, books, and reading notes remains stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
2. How We Use Information
Since we do not collect any personal data or transmit your reading logs to our servers, your data is used solely on your device to calculate your reading streaks, track goal progress, and display your reading history and stats.
3. Third-Party Services
ReadingClock works with select, trusted third-party services to support app functionality:
- In-App Purchases: We offer an optional upgrade to ReadingClock Pro to remove advertisements. In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed securely through Apple's App Store and RevenueCat. These services manage transaction and entitlement verification according to their respective privacy policies.
- Advertising: The free version of ReadingClock displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob and uses Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) for consent management. These services may collect pseudonymous identifiers and device data as described in Google's Privacy Policy. Upgrading to ReadingClock Pro completely removes all advertisements.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or reading data to third parties or data brokers.
4. Data Storage and Security
All reading logs, goals, and notes are stored locally on your device. We recommend maintaining regular device backups (such as via Apple iCloud Backup) to protect your device data from loss. Because we do not store your data on external servers, we cannot recover or restore data if it is deleted from your device.
5. Children's Privacy
ReadingClock is family-friendly and is frequently used by parents and young students to log daily school reading and reading challenges. We do not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Any updates will be published on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
